Comprehensive mechanical insulation services for commercial and industrial facilities. From routine maintenance to emergency response and custom fabrication — we handle every insulation need.
Here’s what sets us apart from other insulation contractors.
Safety-First Culture
Over 231,000 OSHA-tracked man-hours since 2021 with zero lost-time incidents. Our EMR rating of 0.76 puts us 24% better than the industry average — a direct reflection of our commitment to planning, training, and accountability.
Emergency Response
When a job calls for it, we scale — staffing dozens of insulators across dual 12-hour shifts, 7 days a week, with the capacity to run multiple outages simultaneously. Emergency repairs mobilized around the clock.
Proven Track Record
From a year-round presence at Henry Ford Hospital to Ford’s new World Headquarters — our project list includes Michigan’s most recognized names. Contractors and facility managers choose RMI because we deliver on schedule, by design, and on budget.
Union-Trained Workforce
Proud to employ Local 25 insulators — OSHA 10/30-hour certified, CPR and first aid trained, and backed by years of hands-on field experience in commercial and industrial environments. Every crew member brings the skill and professionalism that comes from rigorous union apprenticeship training.
Materials We Work With
Insulation, jacketing, accessories, and pipe supports
Our team maintains a year-round presence across Henry Ford Hospital's Detroit campus, providing insulation services, material supply, and pipe supports across multiple buildings. With crews available seven days a week and insulators who have spent the better part of their careers on-site, we deliver the continuity and institutional knowledge that complex healthcare facilities demand.
Michigan Central Station — Detroit
We were part of the subcontractor team on Ford Motor Company's landmark six-year restoration of Michigan Central Station — one of the most ambitious preservation projects in Detroit's history. Our crews contributed insulation work throughout the historic Beaux-Arts building, and we remain on-site today supporting the ongoing buildout of the hotel and additional spaces within the station.
Ford World Headquarters — Dearborn
From the ground up, we contributed to the construction of Ford's new World Headquarters in Dearborn — a state-of-the-art facility replacing the iconic Glass House. This multi-year, multi-million dollar project included insulation services and pipe supports from our fabrication team, helping build the next generation of Ford's global headquarters.
